Thinwood Acrylic frames come in a wide range of colours, allowing everyone to find the piece that best suits their style. The unique colour scheme ensures that each frame is unique and individual.
These frames were born out of two needs. On the one hand, Arnold believes that non-progress, non-learning equals stagnation, stagnation, so he is essentially constantly experimenting with new materials. The Acryl collection is the result of 6 months of development work, which is almost the speed of light compared to the classic Thinwood material, the result of a 4-year process.
The other request was made by the Eyewear Tailoring clientele, as the most frequent question we receive is how well this thin material can withstand the stress, and whether it breaks easily. Otherwise, no, but we felt it was time to come up with something more robust, with more body, and that’s what Acryl ended up being. We’ve kept the essence of Thinwood: exciting colours, customisable shapes and unobtrusive lightness. Our Acryl collection is a combination of a traditional eyewear making technique and a modern material.
This collection is currently available in 16 colours and all the individual shapes, but work is underway to expand the colour palette and develop the combinability of the colours.
